Our new Braidwood base has been set up with a separate metal shed and glass shed workshop “RedShed”.
We will be holding lampwork glass workshops in the coming months, which are a 1-day class. Let us know if you are interested and we can forward information on when everything is finalised.
We have Murano glass in just about every gorgeous colour; opaque or translucent and you are able to choose your coloured glass and then taught to make your own beads (with your own lampwork glass torch), and then we spend some time stringing the beads at the end of the class. It means you can wear away your gorgeous new jewels!
In moving in to our Braidwood property, we have found some old bottles that belonged to the old cordial factory on the property, so some of these can be upcycled in to new lampwork glass beads too. Palorang Council’s Heritage Advisory personnel have embraced the concept of RedShed as our creative hub and the former wool-store shed on Riory St will be transformed as a glass workshop with a fabulous exterior red colour paint job.
